Heart of Glass

Description

This is what happens when you have varying temperatures whilst curing your resin. You get this really weird but interesting frost effect.

Getting things into such small bottles forced me to invent a whole new method of making stuff. (Don't ask me why I needed to put things in tiny bottles...I just did)

In the end, I found that latex was the best option, but raw latex is a fairly uninspiring colour. I spent a long time learning to use pigments and paint to get a finish i could live with while still achieving enough flexibility to squishy it into the jar. Then of course I poured the resin in on a day that got far too cold and le bam!...heart of glass. I can't consider it a success but it's not really a failure either since the effect is quite interesting.

I know nothing of this type of art but it is truely fascinating! Sounds very difficult which is also impressive. And I agree that the effect you created made for a very interesting look.Serendipity! I Love this!
